📖 Introduction
During a recent Sunday virtual service, my spiritual father, Bishop Livingston, shared a powerful, Spirit-led word that settled deeply in my heart:
“Stop seeing yourself through the lens of other people and see yourself how God sees you.”
I believe this message was divinely inspired, and it immediately resonated with the heart of my brand—creating a space where women can truly see themselves. In the spirit of Romans 13:7, which reminds us to “give honor to whom honor is due,” I am honored to acknowledge Bishop Livingston for this timely and life-giving word that inspired this devotional reflection.

Seeing Yourself Through God's Eyes
Somewhere along the way, many of us began to see ourselves through the lens of comparison.
As mothers, we quietly measure ourselves against other mothers—wondering if they are more patient, more present, more organized, or somehow doing it all better than we are. As women, the comparisons only multiply. We notice who appears skinnier or prettier, who seems more productive, who has the cleaner home, the stronger marriage, or the more successful career.
Even in our faith, comparison can subtly take root. We may look at another woman and think she is a “better Christian,” more anointed, or more blessed by God. We begin to question whether our prayers are powerful enough or if our walk with God measures up. But these comparisons were never part of God’s design.
Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 2:10:
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” (NLT)
The word masterpiece comes from the Greek word poiēma, meaning a work of art—something intentionally and uniquely crafted. No two masterpieces are the same. Each one reflects the creativity and purpose of the artist. In the same way, God did not create you to mirror another woman’s life, body, calling, or spiritual journey. He created you to walk a path designed specifically for you.
When we compare ourselves to others, we unintentionally diminish the beauty of God’s work in us. Comparison shifts our focus from gratitude to inadequacy and from purpose to performance. It causes us to chase approval rather than rest in the assurance that we are already fully known and deeply loved.
Every woman has her own walk with God. Some seasons are visible and flourishing; others are quiet and deeply rooted beneath the surface. One woman’s calling is not greater than another’s—just different. God’s blessings are not distributed based on comparison but according to His perfect plan for each of His daughters.
This is the heart behind creating a space where women can see themselves—not through the unrealistic standards of the world, but through the loving and affirming eyes of God. A space where motherhood is honored, imperfections are embraced, and every woman is reminded that she is already enough because she belongs to Him.
Today, choose to silence the voices that tell you otherwise. Lay down the magnifying glass of comparison and pick up the mirror of God’s truth. When you look at your reflection, remember that you are not defined by opinions, expectations, or achievements. You are defined by the One who created you.
You were never meant to compete. You were created to be uniquely you.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for creating me with intention and purpose. Forgive me for the times I have compared myself to others and doubted the beauty of Your work in me. Help me to see myself through Your eyes and to embrace the unique path You have designed for my life. Teach me to celebrate the journeys of other women without diminishing my own. Remind me daily that I am Your masterpiece, loved and chosen by You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
